back from haridwar now ..
me and my friend gone to trip of haridwar for 2 and half days ... here is what we did ...
it was just a sudden trip , he just told me we need to go to somewhere else . that is on some trip .. i said why not and next day we left for haridwar .. we bought tickets in tatkaal (quick tickets) costed us about Rs. 750($15) for appx. 400km trip ..when i entered in train felt some odd . there was nothing visible outside the train .. it was covered like plane ... but due to hit , we got great relief from cold wave ... ... So the train travel was quite easy while going and it left us at destination with in appx. 8 hrs ... After we reach there i saw lot of peoples were there . the station was full of peoples . ... I just got booked a hotel ... We just went to hotel and asked for a room . he said it will cost us Rs. 500 ($12) per day ... We were about to pay the same but another customer came and said i am not going to pay 500 , so the hotel owner asked him to pay 400 ... on it my friend asked hotel manager , why we need to pay 500 if he is paying 400 ... he said you then pay 400 ... so first thing you need to learn is bargain ... you may save 25% of your trip expenses by bargaining ... after i reach to the market . i saw haridwar was full of shops ... its just like 3-4 markets full of peoples ..... There were everything fine except good food ... if we go there and ask for samosa they said they dont have chatni for it .... milk was just like water .. or milk powder ... the quality of food was not good at all ... infact food was quite expensive too .. for example if you demand cold coffee you get just cold coffee with no icecream .. also you need to pay $1 or $2 for bread with butter ..... .. however we ate a lot ... then we gone to ganga ghat ... at that day . looked at Ganga .. it was quite kool . just spend few hours on it.. there were lot of peoples gathered but most were with families or couples ... so aint got any new friend there ..... then came back to hotel ... then we gone to cyber cafe ... as girl was sitting near my (neibouring pc ) ... i just talked to her .,.. but she was not friendly at all ... i mean probably local girls were not even willing to talk to visitors .... so all we did it got bored . thats it ... ... we then came back to hotel .. watch tv and sleep ....next day we gone to ganga ghat for bath ( as its a faith that if you bath in ganga your become free from sins ) thats the reason most peoples go there ... it was very cold there ...and we have to remove our shoes ,.... when i put my feet near ganga ghat i felt i am standing on ice ... i was shivering .. but i know i have to take bath ,... so instead of thinking anything i just jumped in it ... and you know what my feet got slipped ... i was about to fell but my friend hold my hand ... so nothing happened ... i just put my head inside ganga with whole body and came back outside with shivering and changed clothes ....then someone , pandit etc asked us for pooja (pray) ... we just did that ... he then asked us to pay rs. 1000 ($25) ... my friend told me its their job dont pay them so much .... its better to donate to poors instead of paying them ... ok we just paid lil like $2 or $3 and came back and paid some to poors sitting outside .... then we planned trip to rishikesh ...we got tampoo and sit there and reached rishikesh in 15-20 minutes .... when i landed there i saw there is nothing i was bit amazed why peoples aked to visit rishikesh ... i asked auto guy whats the place to see .. he told me its just few temples ... but we need to visit to lakshman julla ... So we reached their with another auto and it took 5-7 minutes more ... once we reached their i saw it .. it was just simply a beautiful place ...lot of couples and families were their ... and it was appearing that its like more of tourist place instead of religious place ... actually there was a green lake and you just have to cross lakshaman julla to reach there ... its just a bridge which shakes when you move over it .. it was horrible when you see below from it .. but the excitement of reaching the place was so much that i was away from fear ... ... we then took motor boat ride their ... it was exciting too ... but i am lil worried about peoples there .. i mean there was little risk ... for example ... its just too much down there ...if someone fell from mountains with slipping of feet ... he /she will probably loose her life ... also lake was quite drawn too ... and also i saw a bull on the bridge .. it was short bridge with thousands of peoples and few monkies and bull .. i mean these all things might be risky .. but it was appearing noone cares about it .... however noone of the indian girl was alone ... most were with families and couples however we met few single girls from us/uk/white ... we just talked to few white peoples in haridwar and rishikesh .. but we were short of time ... so we just said bye to them and left back to home ... we got night train tickets ... but it was horrible experience while comming ... weather was full of fog and there was extreme cold .... overall train was quite late ... also the window's of train were not completely able to close .... so we got very (infact everyone got shivered in train) ....so finally we reached at home .... i have shot some pics of haridwar while coming ..... i will try to post them here if my blue tooth connection worked fine ...
